School Life

Olympic Day

Waipu Primary School held our very own Olympics with children being divided into different
teams/countries (some actually in their country of origin) and competing in a variety of different
modified events. It was a wonderful day and the participation and sportsmanship were
evident throughout the day.

Matariki Festival

Cross Country

What a day! After a wet start for the 10 and 11 year old girls, the sun came for our annual school
cross country. Classes had trained hard and this was evident with participation at it’s highest.
Clan colours were evident, cheering was non stop and spirits were high. Many of our top places
came down to a sprint for the finish line. Congratulations to Sutherland who were our winning clan.
